Chris and Lindsay – Fun to work with and incredibly in love.  I photographed their wedding on November 6th 2010.  Lindsay and Chis planned their Sarasota wedding all the way from Tennessee.  They were married at the First Baptist Church in Sarasota, on Main Street and their reception was at the Boat house, Hyatt – in Sarasota. From Lindsay: Chris and I met in college where we both played soccer at Tennessee Wesleyan College.  He came to the school our junior year with his brother and we met during preseason in the cafeteria.  I asked he and his brother if they were twins (at the time they looked a lot alike) and Chris said, “We are if you want us to be!” ha.  He definitely knew how to get my attention.  But from there we made flip flops together, went bowling, and he took me on my first trip to the SWAMP which got me hooked to him for life! :)

The reason I wanted to be married at First Baptist Church in Sarasota is because that is where my parents were married 31 years ago and are still married today.  It meant a lot to me to honor that and get to have the privilege to walk down the same isle my parents did 31 years before. Also, unbeknown to me at the time, my parents also had their wedding “reception” after the church fellowship hall reception at the Hyatt in the boathouse when it used to be a bar!  I called my mom to tell her I found a great place for a reception, and it was called the Boathouse at the Hyatt.  Needless to say she was very shocked and then proceeded to tell me (she had never mentioned this before) that is where she and my dad went and spent their first night together as a married couple.  Very neat how it all worked out!
