Crosley Mansion Wedding, Sarasota

Written by Sheila on December 5th, 2011

The Powel Crosley Estate, in Sarasota must be one of the hidden gems of this little city, not many people that I know have ever heard about it.   I can not think of a more perfect setting to host an intimate, sophisticated wedding than at this mansion.  Caitlyn and Tyler called me up about 6 months before their wedding to chat with me about their big day and tell me that I was the one they were looking for to capture those special moments. I didn’t meet either one of them until the day of the wedding, but we had a blast and made some crazy, beautiful art!  Here are the highlights to what turned out to be a spectacular evening.  And as always, I’m in love with the brides shoes – from paris.

I LOVED the shoes as I am sure you can tell! Caitlyn and Tyler’s wedding was so much FUN! A sophisticated wedding with a splash of Dutch, (Tyler) and a hint of old Paris (Caitlyn) was a photographers dream!

According to my daughter, blurry photo’s are boss: lets see how this one goes over

Venice, Florida – Wedding

Written by Sheila on November 26th, 2011

Mical and Kirk married in October at the Venetian River Club in Venice Florida. Beautiful colors, lovely couple, upbeat fun wedding party,  impeccable staff.  The entire staff went far and above the standard to make the night so much fun, and everything was so beautiful.  And I would like to add the food was exceptional too.

Kirk and Mical had chosen a place by the riverside to have there “first glance”.  A private moment to see each other for the first time, only moments before they signed their ketubah and walked down the aisle.

I love this Shot. I’m blowing this bad baby up to a  poster size print of it for my studio wall in downtown Sarasota.

Angela was kind enough to tot us in the golf carts to the beautiful tree on the grounds with Spanish moss and green, green grass as well as a lovely view of the sun set and what it might have to offer us.

And we were not disappointed.  This photo is taken right out of the camera – yes the afterglow from the sunset really looked exactly like this. I love a good Florida sunset.

The Venetian in Venice Florida is one of my Favorite venues south of Sarasota to photograph a wedding.  Thanks Mical and Kirk for finding me and helping me create beautiful photo’s that we will all love! There are some amazing memories here!

Sarasota E-Session

Tiffany and Will, getting married in March, put up with me enough to dash around downtown Sarasota as I drove around and said – “hey, that looks like it would make an amazing backdrop for a photograph”.  The results are fun and sassy!

From the old Rustic Grill, down Coconut avenue, across Main Street and ending at Marina Jacks Bay Front.  All within a mile from each other right here in Sarasota. Tiffany and Will will be wed in March at the Windsong Ranch.

Ritz Carlton Sarasota

Written by Sheila on August 30th, 2011

What a rare treat for a bride to have the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota to prepare for one of the biggest days of her life.  Sasa and Crystal did all their preparation at the Ritz, whisked away to the Sarasota Garden Club for a sweet shot ceremony and then back to the Ritz for their formal photographs. A lovely couple and a gorgeous night!

Back over to the Ritz Carlton to take full advantage of their lobby and courtyard.

Love this shot and how I captured it.  The fountain in front of the Sarasota Ritz Carlton provides the backdrop for this photo.

For intimate ceremonies or grand Sarasota wedding receptions, the Ritz Carlton will exceed your expectations.  Romantic, elegant and sophisticated.   I am inspired to try new poses and get new ideas for future weddings every time I work at the Ritz Carlton.

Thank you Sasa and Crystal for being so sweet and so much fun to work with. { Sarasota Wedding Photography }
