This Years favorite Pick for a Sarasota venue is the stunning Powel Crosley Mansion!

The estate features the graceful styling and architecture of a bygone era and yet has all the modern amenities that make for a successful staging of almost any event. Near the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, the Powel Crosley Estate sits on Sarasota Bay just south of the new University of South Florida campus on North Tamiami Trail/US 41. The address of the Crosley Estate is

One Seagate Drive, 8374 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.  It is one-half mile north of the University Parkway and US 41 intersection. University Parkway is exit # 213 off Interstate 75.

The Crosley Estate offers plenty of free on-site parking. Handicap accessible parking is available.

I have never seen a more magical venue for a wedding. A beautiful, Mediterranean style mansion right on Sarasota Bay. Dancing under the stars. It is absolutely gorgeous at the Crosley. The architectural details are seemingly endless and one of the best things about the

Crosley is that the whole place could be “yours” for the day. Not a random swimmer or wandering tourist will be in sight. The perfect venue for a historical and old Spanish colonial ambiance. It is the mix of antique and tropical that you might bedreaming of.

If you’re looking for a venue that is classic, and original than look no further than the Crosley Estate. Photography opportunity at the Crosley – every time you turn the corner or enter another of the amazing rooms in the Crosley Estate, you see another creative photo in the making. If Photo opportunities are important to you – this is one our top choices for a classy, sophisticated wedding!

I highly recommend this gorgeous setting for a  ”Want IT All Wedding: From the beginning, the loveliest bridal room for the entire wedding party to get ready in to the elegant 4,200 square foot grand ballroom which is designed with tasteful chandeliers, richly colored carpet and a balcony that overlooks the golf course, nature preserve, and fountain-filled lake.  Scenic Fountains and lakes, decorative bridges and a great view of the Country Club from outside create a great back drops for amazing wedding photography. A Sarasota Wedding Photographer goes to Colorado

Monday, April 5th, 2010

From swaying grasslands and red-cliff mesas to glorious Rocky Mountain alpine meadows filled with wildflowers, Colorado creates travel memories that last a lifetime. An average of 300 sunshine-filled days gives it signature blue skies and makes Colorado a great getaway that delivers exhilarating adventure or well-deserved relaxation – but always amid spectacular natural beauty. 10 national parks and monuments, 13 national forest and grasslands and 42 state parks provide abundant opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, whether it’s hiking along vista-laden trails, mountain biking through evergreen forests, crystalline streams, rafting  tumbling rivers or photographing our native wildlife.

Colorado Weddings – I have yet to photograph a Colorado wedding, but it is on my list of places that I would like to regularly photograph weddings.  Call me to be the first.
