Sarasota Wedding Photographer; Ringling Wedding

Written by Sheila on October 7th, 2013

Monica and Lenny – Love the contrast in colors in this romantic themed wedding.  Held at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota Florida. The couple had decided to have a “first look” and use the grounds of Ringling to take all the formal photographs of the wedding party as well as the romantic photo’s of just the lovely couple.  This would afford them all the photo’s they wanted without rushing as well as having their sunset evening ceremony they wished for. Enjoy

Sarasota Wedding Photographer: The Ceremony was held in the grand front entryway of Ringling Museums Private House, the Ca’da’zan.  Stunning

Monica and Lenny; all the luck to you on this wonderful journey of life – and thanks for letting me drag you around the gorgeous but huge property of the Ringling grounds.  A photographers dream.

Downtown Sarasota E-Session

Written by Sheila on March 20th, 2013

The windiest day in Sarasota 2013: The gust were so strong we almost cancelled this shoot. But the lighting was so beautiful. What to do when your all dressed up and ready to have your photo taken but the wind is whipping around? Find the nearest tall building to block the wind. A really pretty vine covered building in downtown Sarasota. My secret hiding place.  This is the always adorable Josh and Brittany who are getting married in 2014.

I love this shot.. no engagement session is complete without some nice shots of the engagement rings: Sarasota engagement photography

Cross Creek Ranch

Written by Sheila on February 9th, 2013

Jessica and Justin, what can I say? I will go back over a year now when they came into my studio to talk photography – still unsure about the location of the wedding and even the exact date for that matter. The story was set. Outgoing smart couple super excited about planning their wedding; searching for the perfect venue and not settling for anything less than exactly what will thrill them and their family and friends on their ‘big Day’. Knowing I was going to be part of this union know matter where or when, I was patient but knew I was in for something new; different. Cross Creek Ranch, sure I had heard some recent buzz about it, no I had never photographed a wedding there before. But that is about to change..

I was in for a rare treat. Being an on the coast Sarasota Photographer, photographing a wedding like this is not a weekly occurrence   Hello Florida countryside meets charming horse stables meets photography eye candy everywhere. Honestly I didn’t know where to start. I was so excited see what we were going to come up with for this amazing couple at this new venue. And it goes a little something like this:

It certainly is isn’t?

Love this touch, the mossy tree heart with inscription. Perfect

What could be more perfect, fluttering clothes pinned photo’s from the couples past: yes I looked at every one of them. Treats for everyone, and propped up on a table supported by vintage Jack Daniel Barrels. Sweet!  No pun intended:)

Love the country inspired vintage theme, from the antiques set about the place right down to the cowboy boots!

Hello! Rustic Chandelier billowing in the wind, vintage inspired canning jars filled with a mix of wild flowers- grand oak tree adorned with the big A. It couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for a late afternoon ceremony for a couple in love. Even I had to hold back my tears: Really!!

Oh and there were a few surprises as I was walking around the grounds with the wedding party: a tractor. painted orange. placed perfectly in the field. Of Course!

Jessica and Justin, thank you so very much for finding me and letting me be part of your special day. And thanks for following through with your vision so my camera and I could be there to experience it with you. Well done!  All the happiness to this amazing couple!!

Vintage Inspired Wedding, Garden Club Sarasota

Written by Sheila on December 5th, 2012

Over a year ago, Tracy and Dave came to me and told me they were getting married and wanted me to photograph their wedding. When tracy, who is truly magical at creating and designing wedding details, was describing her wedding and the details, I was getting very excited as the particulars emerged. I was thinking: romantic, vintage vibe. Right up my alley. Dave and Tracy are the kind of couple love stories are written about – warm, funny, stylish, and completely adoring of one another. Their wedding was held at the Sarasota Garden Club nestled in the north corner of downtown Sarasota and was full of personal touches giving it an intimate,  boutique look and feel for this vintage inspired wedding.

An incredible amount of special thought and attention to detail by the bride herself went into this wedding. Nearly everything was designed with thought and care by Tracy, what a gift she has and here are the photo’s to prove it.

A bouquet made entirely with brooches! Just wow..

and I was absolutely in love with her shoes, I am sure anyone who follows this blog will notice I am a sucker for shoes and shoe shots.

The ring bearer! Foxhill’s Juicy Couture, you can call her Juicy.

Love this capture the moment, Alice in wonderland style!

After the wedding and photo’s on the grounds of the garden, we headed for a quick stop at the beach for post sunset shots.. so glad we did. Stunning. Then off to Ophelia’s on Siesta Key, for a quaint and romantic dinner party.

Again, Tracy is a genius, just look at what she did with the cake! I was speechless.

They are two of the sweetest people, and it was a joy to work with them: I wish you a life time of happiness Dave and Tracy!

The Founders Club, Sarasota Wedding

Written by Sheila on December 3rd, 2012

The Founders Club is the Place to Play! What a stunning venue for a wedding. The sunlight: gorgeous.  The couple: in love. And check out the kids in this family; just adorable! Planning a wedding? Make sure you look at The Founders Club as a possible Venue, it is magical: Click Here for more information on the Founders club.

The Founders Club has pink muhly grass. When in bloom, it looks airy and pink, I would try to plan my wedding here when the grass is in full bloom. It is gorgeous here even when it is not in bloom, but I particularly like this here at the country club. It makes for great shots of the bride and groom as well as the wedding party.

Here is a fun treat for the eyes: I saved it especially for The Founders Club. It seemed fitting. How elegant a border around the couple looks. The two girls are the brides beautiful  twin daughters.

I never get tired of the old Oak trees that line the Founders Country Club. The hanging Spanish moss gives it an old Florida charm and feel. And looks romantic in the photo’s and the story that they tell.
