With autumn in full swing & the winter holiday season approaching… romantic holiday engagement tales resonate & visions of Suncoast Winter Weddings dance through my mind. I am looking forward to the sights and sounds of this winter’s beautiful Sarasota weddings… the brides, the grooms… the vows & blooms: these are the moments, who’s capturing yours?
Isla Roatan:
Matthew and I find ourselves on a working vacation yet again. He is boat building and I can’t seem to put my camera down, even when I am on vacation and away from work for a while. It has been nearly two weeks of living on board a 45 foot fishing yacht in Honduras. I have let Matthew know I am nearly ready to go back to Sarasota, his response: “you’ve got your pictures, now you want to leave me!”
Something you won’t see in Sarasota Bay, that is for sure. A spectacular site to come upon, an old half sunken ship. Whether you are snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, flying or boating by, it is awe inspiring.
The local Rum is not half bad. Coke and rum, it’s what you drink here. And plenty of water. Don’t drink and DIVE!
This year will be a great year for a wedding in Sarasota. Venues have been upgraded, including the Hyatt and the Ringling Museum, some prices have been reduced because of the economic impact of property valuations, and everybody is ready for a good party! I will be opening a new photography studio in downtown Sarasota soon, and there will be some great surprises at our grand opening. We have some brand new cameras and lighting equipment for wedding, engagement, and portrait photography, as well as some new options for albums and wedding websites.
For couples looking for a memorable, individual and moving wedding, Sarasota is a destination offering elegant estates and stunning natural surrounds. Sarasota is also home to world-class resorts able to expertly weave together your wedding celebrations. Check out my recommendation page for venues, and many other wedding services.
See you at the wedding!
Photographing weddings is such a joy for me. I have a passion for telling stories with my images. I will photograph your story using an attentive eye to anticipate and feel the moments that become the image. I use my camera as a tool to turn a heartfelt moment into a photograph.
For the last 10 years I have worked with families who value the art of photography and who have planned the creative and sophisticated wedding.
The photos that I strive to take are emotional. Each person is unique and the energy that he or she exudes is very distinct to that individual. A group takes on it’s own energy that is very unique and distinct to the people in it. It is my desire to express that energy in a photograph, so when someone looks at the photograph, they can feel it with their heart, not just see it with their eyes.
Living in Sarasota, Florida is a treat for the eyes. As a Sarasota wedding photographer, I know a lot of special places in Southwest Florida that can be used as stunning, unique and amazing back drops for engagement sessions, and bridal shoots as well.
I have had the privilege of working and creating art at these fine places: the Ritz-Carlton, Crosley Mansion, Hyatt, Ringling Museum, Siesta Key, Boca Grande, Saint Petersburg, Longboat Key, Anna Maria, Lakewood Ranch, Montana, New England, Ireland, Barcelona.
I am passionate about each wedding I get the privilege of shooting! Treating each and every wedding individually… I love to be creative, spontaneous, and adventuresome, making it my goal to try new things at each event, as it is those special images that are YOU, and no one else!
