Sarasota Wedding Photographer; Palmetto E Sesson

Here is hoping everyone is having a gorgeous and meaningful new year. I thought this Florida engagement session would be a perfect way to continue the celebration. Cassandra and Kevin’s country military engagement session is unbelievably gorgeous! Taken just in time before Kevin headed back to his base. The photos and theme came together beautifully. Leave it up to their creative personalities to find the perfect props to take their country vibe from cute to stunning.  Enjoy the beauty you’re about to see and remember to thank incredible people like Kevin for their selfless sacrifice.

Here’s to loving Florida almost as much as I love photographing adorable couples. Cassandra and Kevin will be getting married later this year.

Emerson Point Preserve is so dynamic for photo sessions and for exploring. It is vast and and full of green-space with the best of all worlds. Tall grass, oak trees, walkways and water front.

Cassandra had so many great ideas, and just threw them out to me and I was total on board with all of them. The entire engagement session was done at Emerson Point Preserve in Palmetto Florida:  Sarasota Wedding Photographer: Sheila Simmington

Sharky’s Pier; A Venice Beach Wedding

Sunday, November 17th, 2013

Love, Love photographing weddings with couples willing to pretty much go along with anything I suggest as far as posing and photographic ventures.  Brett and Kathryn were completely down with all my new fun beach wedding posing ideas.  And what fun we had running up and down the beach, playing under the pier and yes, even laying down on the beach sand. Sharky’s On The Pier is a laid back, Tiki style, tropical Florida atmosphere. You can find them situated directly on the Gulf of Mexico in Venice Florida.

Love this shot.  I found a similar  photo in my archives and decided to updated. Gulf of Mexico in Venice Florida. Beach Wedding

How romantic, Under the pier on the Gulf of Mexico. Love the Pier shots.

Siesta Key Wedding; A Romantic Evening

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Ok, this is the first time I have photographed such a unique intimate setting on the beach in Sarasota. A photographers dream is realized when they show up at a wedding that is unlike any wedding they have photographed before. This is one that I would say is right up there with being so individual and unique. From the crackled pillars, to the benches with cushions for a family only ceremony. Both the bride and groom recited their hand written vows in English as well as in Spanish.  To the very intimate, romantic dinner placed  under the banyan tree in the courtyard of their resort. I’m blessed to have been part of this wonderful evening. Lets get going with some photo’s shall we?

Love that Siesta Key white sand and azure water of the gulf of mexico.

The entire wedding. I love how intimate this wedding is. Family. Don’t get me wrong I love big wedding parties also. But this afforded me to really take my time and get really creative with the wedding.

Beautiful feather bouquet handcrafted by the brides father. Stunning for the beach and gulf of mexico.

What a handsome gentleman!

I’m so happy for Amber and Andy and so pleased they they held true to their vision. What a beautiful bond. Wishing you well love birds!

Sarasota Wedding Photographer; Ringling Wedding

Monday, October 7th, 2013

Monica and Lenny – Love the contrast in colors in this romantic themed wedding.  Held at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota Florida. The couple had decided to have a “first look” and use the grounds of Ringling to take all the formal photographs of the wedding party as well as the romantic photo’s of just the lovely couple.  This would afford them all the photo’s they wanted without rushing as well as having their sunset evening ceremony they wished for. Enjoy

Sarasota Wedding Photographer: The Ceremony was held in the grand front entryway of Ringling Museums Private House, the Ca’da’zan.  Stunning

Monica and Lenny; all the luck to you on this wonderful journey of life – and thanks for letting me drag you around the gorgeous but huge property of the Ringling grounds.  A photographers dream.

Downtown Sarasota E-Session

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

The windiest day in Sarasota 2013: The gust were so strong we almost cancelled this shoot. But the lighting was so beautiful. What to do when your all dressed up and ready to have your photo taken but the wind is whipping around? Find the nearest tall building to block the wind. A really pretty vine covered building in downtown Sarasota. My secret hiding place.  This is the always adorable Josh and Brittany who are getting married in 2014.

I love this shot.. no engagement session is complete without some nice shots of the engagement rings: Sarasota engagement photography
