Longboat Key Florida; a quiet elopement

Without much of the stigma it once held, elopement marriage is rising in popularity among budget-conscious couples.  Adele and Clark decided to get married on their own terms!  The focus was on the couple and their wishes—not on the extravagant extras, which can be costly. However, in the same way a traditional bride and groom select the wardrobe, flowers, food and music that best suit them, a unique venue can make an elopement memorable. Lucky for us, the Sarasota area is so centrally located that there are several world-class elopement destinations nearby.  The city, hotels, parks and as Adele and Clark chose, the beach!  With a few surprises and an abandoned house around the corner.  See more of the photographs in the “pages” section to the right.

Siesta Key Weddings

Siesta Key has the worlds finest and whitest sand, or so they say – whether that is true or not, Siesta Key is an amazing backdrop for your ceremony, beach party, or photographs.

Siesta Key Wedding scene

Imagine a sunset wedding on the beach, with gentle breezes off the Gulf of Mexico. Or perhaps you want a traditional wedding in a little church, but on location in a tropical paradise. Siesta Key is the perfect place, full of picturesque spots for splendid wedding photographs, with all of the assistance a bride could need close at hand. So many people enjoy their wedding on this little piece of paradise.  Whether it’s just the two of you, or 200 of your closest friends and relatives, Siesta Key has everything you need to create the wedding of your dreams.
Your ideal ceremony could mean tropical clothes and standing barefoot on Siesta Beach, judged the world’s finest, whitest sand. Or gowns and tuxedos under a flowery arch. It might include a champagne toast overlooking the bay, a festive boat ride to your wedding location/reception, or a gourmet restaurant nestled in a tropical garden.  Sunsets are my wedding photography special!

Wedding in ProgressSarasota Wedding in Progress:  If the couple is adventurous and loves attention to details, then you might want to consider the photojournalism style of photography on your big day.  An increasingly popular style today, wedding photojournalism offers a fresh style of taking photos in the occasion. Characterized by candid shots of the subjects unaware of the moving camera, the photojournalism style lets the wedding party act freely to capture their true emotion. Click to continue »

Beach Ball Madness This image, won several awards and printed in magazines, was taken on beautiful Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota Florida.

I thought this would show how much fun your weddings can be. Fun comes in every wedding package for free.

The beach is a great place for weddings, it is one of my favorite places to photograph them. Along with fun, beach ball madness, and soft white sand, there’s always a lovely romantic sunset shot on Siesta Key beach in Sarasota.

Bridal Bouquet

Sarasota Florida Wedding Bridal Bouquet

One of my favorite wedding details – thank you to the bride and the wedding decoration crew. This wedding was held in the fall of 2006 at the exclusive Cannon Marina Cabins on Longboat Key. The wedding party and family stayed at the cabins for several nights.  The ceremony took place on the beach and the reception was held under the oak canopy near the cabins. The picture is of the brides bouquet.
